One of the best ways to do internet marketing is to give something away and Mr. Gary Lee knows this so he is giving away a free iphone! All I have to do is write a post about it in my blog and link to his new project site about golf equipment as well as PinkDeals.net which provides a free online coupon for most stores on the internet.
I have noticed that there are a few people out there that are using the iPhone to market their sites. From podcasters to churches everyone is giving away iphones! It is great to see that people are marketing their sites this way. They get a good boost of visitors and everyone else gets a chance to win something.
Ill let you all know when I win my iPhone… and then when we have our own contest here at Geekr! The iPhone rocks and it would be hard to give one away.

Oh yes,
This is the beginning of new era! One where I will be your guide to the past, present and future… or at least when it comes to technology. It seems only fitting to start this blog along with this new year. 2007 will be a year of many new things and you can always head over to geekr.com to find what that means to you and technology.
I am writing this on the eve of two of the most influential events of the year. Both the 2007 Consumer Electrons Show and MacWorld SF. CES is huge and has a lot of stuff that will be announce and I’m sure I will be talking about some of the announcements but what really peaks my interest is Apples MacWorld. Apple may not be the biggest company but the definitely make some influential products. Many guess what Apple will be releasing before the even and I find it very entertaining to see what people say about it. Apple is a company that people project their hopes and aspirations onto. Like many peole that have come before me I will now gift you with my predictions for what will be announced at MacWorld 2007.
MacWorld Announcements:
1. Mac OSX Leopard
Not only will it be announced but it will have a complete makeover. It will be a very dark OS. Not in a bad way but in an entertaining way. It will change from it current Aqua design to one that is black and shiny. Many of the applications will take you into a full screen experience that has been unseen in many current computer programs. It will be announced and released after the event.
2. iChat
Yes, it is part of Leopard but it will be released from the OS. The will make it available for Mac and PC. For far to long my PC friends and I have had to suffer with inadequate conferencing software. Well now that will all change with the introduction of iChat for PC and Mac. It will also be a necessity because the new iChat will work directly with my next prediction… the iphone.
3. iPhone
The long awaited iPhone will be announced. It will not be made available until Q2 of 2007 but it will be touted as a revelation in communication. This phone will not only play music and have a calendar but will be fully compatible with iChat. Now how cool would that be to video conference with your phone? One of the most overlooked features will be the wireless connectivity. When you get home it will sync with your home network and become an IP phone. The name iPhone will not be its name but it fives you a good idea of the devices design and ease of use.
4. iTV
This one is pretty simple. It connects you tv to the internet and other devices. It is a gateway device. It will have wireless connectivity (802.11n) and a 100gig hard drive. This thing is just what you need to display stuff on your tv. There will be a more functionally version coming out later this year but this one will get the idea across.
5. True Video iPod
Finally as one last thing they will announce the Video iPod. This is not an updated iPod with video but a totally “remastered” iPod with a 16X9 aspect ratio and a serene that covers almost the entire front surface. It will be 60 and 100 gigs in size and sport some hot wireless capability. Not only will it look good but will look even better with it syncs up to the iTV to play you videos.
These are some predictions of what I thing Apple will be announcing. I have no inside info but just at good grasp of the direction Apple is headed. This post will probably seem very funny a year from now but as to the accuracy of it I’m not so sure.
Let me know what you think and ill be back soon to let you know how accurate I was.
